I recently hired Alex for a hardscaping project and a backyard renovation, and I couldn't be happier with the results! From the initial consultation to the final touches, the team was professional, knowledgeable, and attentive to our vision. They did an excellent job with the stone pathways and patio.
Let me start by saying, I rarely give a 5 star rating for contracted work. We have lived in many places around the country and have used all different kinds of contractors. We have had satisfactory work done. Often times something was broken or had a mess to deal with after each job was finished.
An old flagstone path through our wooded back yard led to a gate that connected to a neighborhood trail. Storms and years of neglect by previous homeowners had taken their toll on this path, and we reached out to Alex and the Oasis Outdoor Living team to transform it. And they did.
My backyard was honestly embarrassing—weeds and renovation junk everywhere. Alex transformed it! He took the time to speak with me about my options & weigh ground cover (I’m allergic to grass but want a soft surface for kids to play). He installed turf, created a lovely flagstone path, and made my sad fire pit something to be proud of!
Oasis Outdoor Living's quality, professionism, and responsiveness was phenomenal. The attention to detail was immense and added the greatest value to our project. I had been wanting to do something to camouflage the white vinyl privacy fence in my backyard. I decided on block planter boxes that I could use plantings to cover up the fence. A friend of mine had used Alex and showed me pictures of his work. I was hooked right away! Alex and Scotland did amazing work.

Both. Some yards go on a cutting rotation. Some are one visit to bring an overgrown property back to something manageable. That gets priced on what is actually out there, so we look before we quote.
It holds moisture in the bed through a dry spell and keeps the soil temperature steady. It also smothers a lot of the weed seed that would come up. It looks good too, but the reason to do it is the bed underneath.
Usually, yes. We find out why it went bare first, because shade, packed soil and bad drainage each need a different fix. Then we seed or lay sod and set the watering so it takes.
Yes. We lay out zones for the shape of your yard, set the heads so nothing waters the driveway, and show you the controller before we leave. We also repair systems somebody else put in.
Size, slope, how much trimming and edging there is, and how far behind the yard has gotten. A flat lot with clean edges is a different job from a sloped one nobody has cut in a month. We price it after we have seen it.
Yes. Pavers, walls, walkways and fire pits are all hardscape work we do. We grade and compact the base first, because a patio that settles was a base that was rushed.
